On March 6 Issue of the New York Times (If you could down load it free ...go ahead and read) Thomas Friedman the author of "The world is Flat" answers the question how Indians dream the American dream while most Americans have stopped dreaming after the recession "holding on to their dear life." Another big reason he says is that America has the best innovation culture in the world.  Even the ordinary guy  in America has a good life which distinguishes it from so many other countries. Just imagine,  of the so many countries in the world it is America which selected Shivaraman, the Nanotechnologist from SRM University  , honoured him with $200000 salary and offered him a five year contract. It is in America that a Sridhar or a Khosla could compel venture capitalists to invest in their million dollarprojects even at their start up stage. The reasons are many including the investment capacity of the NRI's from the U.S who have
contributed to the financial strength of india susbtantially. Also, when you hold an accredited U.S. degree you become internationally
valuable.
