Guidance After Gate

hi
I took up gate 2010 CS paper.
Mark - 27.33
Gate score - 402
All India Rank - 8865
I would like to know which colleges i can get for this score and how to apply ( is there any councelling or should i apply for all colleges individually)

With an above average score as you have indicated the chances of getting to a high value instituion is real hard. My understanding is any management instituion will be ready to admit you depending on other considerations. It is not right for me here to name particular colleges for you to approach. But if you are keen , we can work out something suitable and practical overseas.

I also took up CAT 2009 and got 72 percentile
Will that do any good?

CAT is valid for one year. Your current score alone matters. Having made two attempts and lost considerable time, I do not wish to
recommend a repeat attempt whether be it GATE or CAT. You may do well by taking alternate routes unless you find someone , an experienced professor whose teaching methodologies are down- to- earth and who will be willing to sit with you and help you with the preparation. Even if it costs lot of money, go for it. It is worth it. Students in India are penny wise. They grudge paying for a quality service such as exam coaching. This is something to do with your career, life and future. There is no point in waiting to shop around
for a quick-fix. I think Brilliant tutorials will be good. Or you visit our facility and we shall try to contact some of the retired professors who can help.
