Well...having taken a decision to get into SYMBIOSIS in itself, I consider a smart resolution. Most Symbiosis candidates are not from another planet . It requires well disciplined preparation. Join a coaching class and read fiction , non-fiction and newspapers to improve vocabulary. Your power of vocabulary is an important determinant for verbals and later for Group discussions. It distinguishes you as a professional. If you have been used to calculators, make sure you practise speed at arithmetical calculations.Quants requires tireless practice and patience. Good Luck !
The following is the guidline from SYMBIOSIS brochures.
"SNAP Test duration is 120 minutes. SNAP Test is an objective test. Each question has 4 responses. Candidate should choose an appropriate response. Each wrong answer attracts 25% negative marks. The four sections are: Sr.No. Section Total Marks 1. General English: Reading Comprehension, Verbal Reasoning, Verbal Ability 40 2. Quantitative, Data Interpretation & Data Sufficiency 40 3. General Awareness: General Knowledge, Current Affairs, Business Scenario 40 4. Analytical & Logical Reasoning 60 Total 180 After clearing the requisite cut-offs, for SNAP, the GDPI calls are sent across to the shortlisted students. The process after SNAP is subject to change every year. You may have an Essay, a Group Discussion, a Case Study, apart from the Personal Interview that included a short Extempore. This year onwards, the cut-offs for all specializations will be the same."
